The Value of Our Work - Infection Control

Ironically, hospitals are probably the worst places to potentially catch an infection. With hundreds of sick people under one roof, there is always a danger of spreading bacteria or viruses. Hospitals are breeding grounds for potentially deadly bugs like C. difficile, whose widespread nature we are only beginning to realize. In this climate, every one of our members is aware of the potential of infection and the ways to stop its spread. From cooking and cleaning to clinical procedures, hospitals must do better than ordinary businesses in ensuring everything is safe.

From the menu below, choose an occupation to learn the roles our members play in Hamilton's hospitals.
